Oil filter will NOT budge! Ideas?

Big *** channel locks have never failed me, and they're the only thing that will fit in that narrow slow between the block and the axle.
In cases where I didn't have it with me, I just keep pressure on it even with just my finger tips. It may seem hopeless with no sign of giving way but keep pressure on it anyway. Have a friend yell "come on, stop using your purse!" and threaten to get under there and show you what a wuss you are.
