Oil from the Air Filter=Damage?
Im starting to wonder if KandN filters are really all that great? After speaking with my smog tech, he said that oil can get into the mass airflow sensor. Which i guess is bad. So i searched the web and found that AEM has new air filters that dont use oil. Should I switch? What do you guys/gals think?

If I was you I will go with the new dry filter because the new filter is nice to have if you got air mass sensor. If like you started cleaning the k&n filter you will have to oil it and if you over oil it the intake will suck the oil pass the filter and on to your sensor.

Well if you're smart you wont spray alot of oil on it, the oil is only there to catch dirt passing thew. The reason the filter is "better" is because it is less restrictive, thats why they give you the recharge kit, keep on doing what you're doing but with less oil and you should be okay.

K/N makes their product seem like they would make your car faster by getting more freeflow. The difference is really minimal. I only bought it because it is reusable and dont need to ever buy another filter. Just my 2 cents.
