Re: oem axle part?
I thought it was fixed and stopped leaking, I didnt notice anything this last week. I had it at the shop for them to look at it and attempt to change the axle seal but the dealer gave me the wrong one, they possibly gave me the wrong side of the transmission, ones bigger than the other. Did drain and refill the trans oil.
If anything I think it might be the drivers side axle seal, thats the one I wanted replaced (or both might need replaced), or possibly the transmission drain plug washer?
Things to check.
I am pretty certain its not engine oil leaking but trans oil if anything.
The transmission is called S-20 (on barcode next to the engine number). That is the transmission that belongs in the car. This transmission is for a USDM OBDI Civic EX/Si and Civic Del Sol Si.
There is a place on the passenger side that says B000 (or similiar), in the bottom half of a circle with a line through it (P20 top half), that is the official designation. (this is what you have, it was just replaced with a used one, blue)
The A000 is for a non vtec OBDI civic dx/lx and del sol s (this is not the blue transmission on the car)
The engine came from here:
http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc...age&item=30021
The engine is from a JDM civic hatch called Vti, its transmission had an optional factory lsd.
These heads are exactly the same as the US D16Z6(original motor).
When ordering a timing belt and tensioner I got the parts for a 1994 US Honda Civic VX (it has a 1.5 liter block and vtec-e head, thats the same timing belt for the jdm D15B engine)
Its basically a non-vtec 1.5 liter block with a 1.6 liter vtec head, they call it the mini-me (like mini ls-vtec) but this engine can this way from the factory in japan, its called mini in US cause it was never really sold here. The bore is the same, the stroke (deck height) is shortened for the 1.5 liter.
Passes smog regularly with everything hooked up and working.
