ok im having some trouble figuring this out. my friend has an 99-00 civic cx, engine is not in the car. we currently have a 97 dx full swap and ecu, no engine harness. his original obd2b engine harness is hacked and i dont want to mess with it. so question is;

-can i use an obd2b auto EX,DX,LX,HX harness for the car and engine? (they are cheaper and easier to find) i have no problem de-pin-ing/cut and solder wires

-ive read the ek auto to manual wire conversion on here but what about vice versa? do i have to add extra wires for the three wire iacv?

-since we have the obd2a dx ecu and we dont want to buy another ecu, can we buy the obd2b to obd2a jumper harness or would obd2b to obd1 be better?, since i also have a po6 ecu

d16y7 all use a 3 wire iacv . you can use the auto harness you will have to move the wire's for the back up lights as they go to the ecu in the auto harness . why not find a obd2b ecu they should be easy to find for a dx . why wouldn't he wait and find something better to swap in like a y8 .

im sorry. i dont own any 96-00 civic or know to much of the obd2. he bought the motor just for temporary.

if we plan to use the original harness that we have now which i was told was a b16a2 harness, what would i have to do to make it a three wire iacv? add 2 wires?

on the stock engine harness the black/blue wire is already in B23. ill have to add b15. COrrect?
