Default OBD2 to OBD1 wire splicing for alternator?

hey all, I'm putting a OBD1 b18B into my 96 civic(DX) The alternator plugs are different & so is the wiring for them (OBD1 harness has 4 wires leading to the plug in for the alternator & the plug for the OBD-2 harness has 3 wires) I'm wondering what needs to be done to the 4th wire on the plug so it will work. thanks in advance!

I searched but all I really found was this... zerothread/1972711
