OBD2 ECU in OBD1 EG civic?
my car is a 95 civic lx. i have a 96 gsr ecu that im trying to use when i put my 96 gsr motor in. the problem is i cant find a jumper harness to do this with. ive checked hasport and a few other companies and come up blank. how do i use this ecu with my swap??? id rather not have to pay too much extra for the 94-95 gsr ecu when i already have the 96 that came with my swap. any help is appreciated. thanks

The problem is that once you go OBD2 you'll have to wire up the extra o2 sensor, the crank fluctuation sensor, and you'll have to deal with the extra bullshit OBD2 codes like "random misfire" and "catalyst efficiency low" etc.
If you must go OBD2, then try Kenji's harness - it kicks ***. I ran my B18C5 with his harness and JDM P73 ECU with zero problems other than lack of power when compared to his re-chipped P28 ECU.

Don't say nbody warned you about OBD2 though - there's a reason so many people convert to OBD1.

ive done a couple swaps where its been obd2 motors into obd1 cars and they have all run fine minus a couple check engines, sometimes even just one check engine for ECU which you will never get rid of. ive never had to wire up another o2 sensor.though.
