Default lets say i have an obd1 civic and an obd2 b18c....help?

i everything one could ever want for the b18c, ecu linkage, etc. , as i have the gsr and im going to swap the engine and brakes to a civic. originally i wanted to get an ek, but theyre a little pricey for my college budget..max $2500. and the question, will i be able to plug the engine harness right into the eg harness? if not, what is the cheapest/fastest alternatives? thanks guys.

yes you will be able to your use stock harness for the obd2 gsr...the only diff. is that obd2 motors has alittle more senosr than obd1..you will have a few plugs or sensors not hooked up but that would be fine, just run a obd1 ecu or else you will throw a code for secondary o2 sensor and CFK

No. The original response is somewhat misleading. You can use your STOCK wiring harness (the one the EG comes with) and modify it to work with your GSR engine. You will need to add Vtec/knock/IAB's. Not that dificult if you know a little about wiring. Depending on the harness you have now, it might plug right in as the GSR carried the older civic style harness for some time. The newer civic harness though for OBD-2 setups is completely different and will not work with an EK. The OBD-1/EG harness will not plug into the OBD2 ecu without an adapter. Get the adapter, you can use the ECU for now. Just remember, OBD-1 harness's don't have seconary O2 or crank position sensors. Unless you add these things (pain in the *** in my opinion for secondary O2) then its going to have CEL.
