ecu ?
just got a 99 b18c1 swap for my 1996 civic dx 4dr but it came from a 1992 civic with a obd1 ecu can i use any obd2 ecu or is thier a certin ecu i have to get? and do i have to change the wire harness also?

I'm selling this harness(below) to use a obd2 ecu in obd1 car. What ecu did you have plugged in your car. You said you have a '96 civic(obd2?) - so what's came from a '92 civic?

the motor is not in yet, im asking that i need a OBD2 ecu for my car because the motor came with an OBD1 ecu. and also asking if i have to change the wire harness also?

If your car is obd1, you can use the obd1 gsr ecu. Should plug right in. If your car is obd2, use the a obd2 gsr ecu, or get a obd2-1 jumper to use it. If your car is obd1, and the motor is obd2, you can use a obd1-2 jumper(pictured above) to use a obd2 ecu in your obd1 car. I hope that wasn't too confusing.
