I did my swap and now im tryna get emissions tested but everytime they hook up the scan tool... Its unable to get a connection... Can somebody help???

I do get a check engine light but thats cuz both of my O2 sensors arent hooked up...


IS it a problem with my harness or what?

What ECU are you running? OBD1 ECUs and JDM OBD2 ECUS (which are basically OBD1 ECUs in an OBD2 case) will not communicate with the scanners. Only USDM OBD2A and above will work. Besides, you'll fail anyway cause of your CEL.

I have a ODB2a ECU... Its outta a 99 GSR...

Clearly its hooked up enough to run but why wont it connect to the diagnosis port...

If you're using a 99 GSR ECU then it's OBDIIb. So you will need the OBDIIb ECU to OBDIIa harness adapter.
