Icon2 o2 sensor, code 1

i just recently installed a b16a2 into a 97 civic ex. i also put a obd2a jumper harness with a obd1 chipped p28. the car turns on and warms up, then throws a code 41 for the heater
circuit. any ideas or thought would be greatly appreciated. change o2 sensor to 3
different sensors still same problem.

It's probably time to change the o2 sensor or you didn't wire it right.

Check the wiring for the O2 sensor heater element.

i have been looking for this page it had all the pinouts for the obd1 wiring but also showed voltage and wire color(s). i didn't have to touch the wiring for the o2 senor.

If the wiring is fine, then it's also possible that the ECU is the problem. This should become evident by testing for voltage and resistance on the wires.

i did the same thing, but into my hatch. you probably have the wrong o2 plug on the sensor itself. you have two wires for your original motor. primary and secondary o2 sensors. maybe you put the secondary one on instead of the primary. just recheck that and it could be what's causing the code...gl and let us know

so you are saying that i used the secondary connection. or that i used a secondary o2 sensor. don't the secondary o2 sensors have like a red and a brown wire on them instead of the 2 black 1 green and 1 white.

i'm not sure what color wiring it is, but you could've used the wrong clip for the sensor itself...sorry, secondary connection...eheheheh...
