Default no plug for check engine light...need help

Okay so I have a check engine light but I can't check what it is because the plug isn't there. Previous owner cut it out. So my question is were do those 2 wires come from/ go to? The wire colors on my other civic are black and brown. So ones ground I'm assuming but what about the other wire?

follow the ecu plugs up the harness. go to a junk yard and cut another plug....or you can just touch both wires together....

The service connector has two wires, GRN/WHT and BRN that pin to the ECU at D22 and D4, respectively.

That's why you don't buy cars from ricer idiots. More than likely, he/she or both hacked other wires throughout the car.
