Default trying to figure out which engine it is...

Long story short... I blew up the motor in my Delsol this past weekend, now I gotta put in another one. My gf's car has been parked for a while and will never get back on the road so I found a cheap donor car to get the Sol back on the road. But I can't figure out which engine is in there...

It's a 94 Hatch DX. Which means it should be a D15B7. The D15B7 isn't Vtec and I can swear I saw a the solenoid on the back of the engine.

Sorry, the only picture I could find with the hood open is this one(while we were changing the head gasket).

look on the block, near the transmission. It should have a motor code stamp.

the d15b7 thats in my 92 4 door that i just picked up has what appears to be a vtec solenoid on the left side of the block just above the tranny... its pretty weird because its not vtec, ive been wondering what this was for as well.
as far as figuring out what motor it is just look on it toward the bottom of the block to the left of the exhaust manifold and it will say whether its a d15b7.

I'll look for the stamp.
Thank you

And euh... I just found someone selling a running b18b complete swap for about 400$
Go with whatever is in the gf's car, or pick up the swap and slap that in?

The b18b swap will also come with engine mounts, Wiring harness, Ecu, axles, and tranny.
Anything missing to complete the swap in a 93 Delsol Si?

Wow...that's hella cheap. Unless you know the person very well...I would be skeptical about it. It's either f*cked up or HOT. I bought mine not too long ago for $750 complete....because the guy lowered the price from $1k.
