Default New here have a SLIGHT problem

I just installed a new aftermarket steering wheel in my 1996 Honda Civic. My problem is that now, I don't have working turn signals. During the course of the install, I removed a part with this number on it... FJG517168 with a bar code above it. I remember cutting a yellow and green wire to facilitate removal of the part. Do I need to re-install this part to make the turn signals work? I think the part is called the cable reel...

i dont think the cable reel has anything to do with your turn signals. i know i had a ej1 once without a cable reel and the horn didnt work and the SRS light was always on. the blinkers still worked though.

By not working i'm assuming they don't turn off? Does the steering wheel have 2 little ears on it like the Honda wheel. Take a look at the two steering wheel hubs and see if they look the same. You need to have something making contact with the cancelation ring in the combination switch for the turn signals to cancel.

If the don't turn on then you really messed something up

Take the new wheel off and post up some pics so we can see whats up.

eBay special. Other than this slightly minor problem, the wheel looks nice and solid

No, by no turn signals, I mean they do not turn on when hitting the stalk.
