Need your help ASAP!!!!
ok, I just got my APEXi WS2 in today. I took everything out and layed it next to my stock exhaust and the WS2 is about 16" too short. So now I have to make a decision, do I order a catalytic converter from some online store or do I make sure my messurement is correct and have a local shop make me a straight pipe or a high flow cat? The local shop said they can make my a high flow for about 200 and would take 3-4 days or they could make me a straight pipe for about 100 and it would take 1-2 hrs. Both would be made from SS. My question is, will a straight pipe make the exhaust raspy or extremely loud? I don't have to pass smog or anything here so thats not my concern, I just don't want a loud (bee's-in-a-can) exhaust. Thats why I bought a WS2. Please let me know what you think, I needed this part yesterday. TIA

Apex makes thier exhaust perfectly to fit, either you ordered teh wrong one or you are leaving out some kind of detail on us, ie you compared it to yoru stock exhaust with cat versus new exhaust with the cat not hooked up.

ok, sorry. Didn't tell you the car and motor.
It's a 92 Civic CX hatchback with a D16Y8 motor and stock Y8 header (no cat in header like the stock CX). So since the stock cat came in the header the exhaust bolted straight to the header. Now, APEXi only makes one WS exhaust for the 92-95 hatchbacks. The exhaust they made it from was obviuosely from the 92-95 Si which must have the cat after the header. Now I'm sitting here a section a piping missing.
Would a stock D16Z6 or D16Y8 cat bolt into this exhaust system? If so, then I can just buy a high flow cat from an online store.

something like this. Will this work? I just went and remessured the space and it's actually 16.5" shorter in the piping and a little more to the flange of the stock header. This cat looks like it would bolt up to the stock header and up to the flat 3 bolt flange on the WS2. What are your recommendations? Is this a good price or is there a cheaper place to get one? Please help me out here. TIA
