exhaust issues.....
Ok i have come to point where there are no more turbo problems....its actually installed and ready to go.....all wires, bovs, down pipes, manifolds, guages, wastegates etc etc, but now i am on exhaust.....and i had my downpipe bent a tad so it would line up, had my 3" high flow cat cut down cause it was two long and my flanges welded on, so i could put in my lovely thermal.....NOW its to long....i am about 4" to long so my hangers dont match up anywhere so i can hang my exhaust, so i need to take out 4" of pipe somewhere.....any suggestions or help!
I know the feeling. I had to take 6 inches out of my APEX'i Dunk when I did the motor swap. Then I had to add 4 when I went with a high flow cat. grrr.
Anyway, what I did was cut the exhaust about 6 inches before the front hangars. I then hung it. I took the front piece and placed it by that cat and cut it so there was a 2 ich gap in the piping if I bolted both pieces on. I was than able slide 8 inch piece of pipe over the outside of the Dunk. I bolted the other peice on and slid the connector over it. I than tacked it into place and dropped the exhaust so I could weld al the way around it.

To be quite honest with you, I would not cut a $500 + exhaust system, I would rather cut if off of the downpipe, you can always buy the arturbo 3 inch one for I believe 300. But I would def. look at alternatives before hacking an expensive exhaust.
