need to replace struts - have two questions
I am in need of some new struts on my car and have 2 questions. (it's a 96 civic ex, all stock)
First, I was wondering if dropzone struts are ok to be used as a stock replacement. My struts are bad and I am looking for the cheapest route possible. My car is all stock, used as a daily driver, and I am planning on getting rid of it in in a year after I graduate.
I scanned the archives and I mostly found questions about using them on lowered cars. I figured I'd post and try to get some opinions on people who used them on a stock car with stock springs. The ebay ads say they are perfect for lowered cars. I want to make sure that they won't mess anything up on a stock suspension.
I know they are cheap and that's ok with me, I am not looking for any performance gains. I just want a cheap stock replacement to make the squeeking go away.
My second question, if anyone has bought them off ebay or anywhere else, is there any additional hardware that needs to be purchased that isn't included in the box? Any tips on what to look for/inspect/buy that will help the installation will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
