Default Need help with timing zc

Ok, my frined is doing a head gasket for me, and went well, but he says he cant get it timed(and hes a pretty good tech). One reason is because i dont a have a timing cover. Another possible reason, is hes never done a dual overhead cam honda motor. Can anybody offer any hints that will help with situation? Thanks

I don't understand why he needs a timing cover, there should be little lines that are supposed to line up with the head from the side and a u or an o that should be faced up, cant remember off hand. I always put the intake cam off a tooth cause the tensioner will pull it toward the fire wall when you start to tighten it. I would get a manual, preferably a helm and you might as well get a new water pump while your in there
