need help think i'm running lean!!!!
i recently had the head rebuilt on my b16 and now that i've put the motor back together, it's been a real pain to get back tuned it. the biggest problem is it seems like i have no power at all and i've got greyish smoke at times. the weird thing is it only does it after the engine warms up. when i'm powering up through the gears, it feels like i'm detonating and when i let it coast in gear and apply the gas, that's when the greyish smoke comes out. i did a dry compression test to see if it was the rings, but it doesn't smoke all the time so i'm not sure about that. i think it's either in my fuel system or with my vaccum lines, but not sure. any thoughts?

Did you have teh head shaved at all or the comression raised? Sounds like your either running lean and possibly your timings messed up or you have a problem with your valve train/sealing.

Re: need help think i'm running lean!!!! (HighRev)
no i didn't have any mods done to the head, just had the seals and springs replaced. i'm thinking that i'm running lean but i'm not sure where or how. i'm thinking about getting some new injectors and maybe a new fuel pump. if i'm running lean, is there anyway to adjust gas feed into the motor without a adjustable fuel pressure regulator?
