Default --Need help with swap-

i have a 96 civic dx hatch..

i swaped a b20b with gsr tranny into it everything is hooked up no leaks yet...i cant get it to run

so far it sounds like it wants to turn over but it isnt.FUEL is on the plugs and im getting spark...

im thinking i have the timing wrong or maybe the spark plug wires wrong..any thoughts or experience of this..

im running an obd2-1 ecu jumper with an obd1 ls ecu

any questions or things u need to know just ask....TIA

Pull your distributor off, turn the crank pulley/cam 180 degrees and reinstall the distributor. Hopefully its just a matter of your timing being 180 degrees off.

Good luck!

put new plugs in it, make sure the firing order is correct, crank it while you floorboard the gas and fire it up.

Firing order is 1342, looking at the dizzy cap from the passengers fender its:

13
24

#1 cylinder being farthest to the right side of the engine. Good luck sir!

B series distributors are keyed, you cannot physically install it 180 degrees off without a large hammer.

we got it to idle lower by forcing the throttle body closed further. it idles really rough and sounds like it missing.

let it run for a while, then try and do a compression test. it will let you know if it is indeed missing. compression testers only cost like $20-30 from autozone or sears or whatever.

did you mess with the timing at all before u swapped the car i have ran into instances that match your description and it was the timing! check the cam gears and belt and make sure u are not off a tooth

the plug wires were in the wrong order still, and the tps was on wrong and throwing a code i reset the computer and now all i have is an idle air control valve code and i have tried 1 i know for a fact works but other that that it runs good just wont idle when cold(iacv)

so my new problem is whats wrong with the iacv? its plugged in and worked on another car?

im at a loss for this one
