I LUV MY EJ1

need help with my climate control on a 94 ej1 so the climate control dont light up and i wanna take it out so i could check the bulbs. can anyone tell me how to take it out or can someone guide me through on how to take it out thanks

sry to thread jack but i have a similar problem it's a 97 ek hatch, lights up but doesn' work.

Remove the lower ash tray panel and the rest is pretty easy afterwards.

-remove the lower console (4 phillips screws)
-remove cd player
-remove the easily accessible phillips from the CC (it's towards the back of the CC)
-remove the 5 smaller phillips screws that are towards the face of the CC (i used and L shaped phillips)
-use a pliers to remove the heater fan switch and wiggle it out
-remove the heater cable with a pliers and then unscrew the lever stopper with your hand
-remove the green connector (this is tricky to get to, but i was able to get it nicely with a little knife)
-you should be able to slide the CC out of the dash now
-there's one little phillips screw that connects a black piece of metal to the CC, remove that
-then there are like 5 tabs that you need to undo to remove the face of the CC
-if all was done correctly you should be staring at your 2 #74 bulbs!
