Need engine harness help. Del Sol OBD2?
Ok, I have a 96 civic cx hatch, obd2A, with a b16a2 swap from a 99 civic Si, obd2B. It has a P28 chipped for a b16 with an OBD2A to OBD1 conversion harness. And from what the last owner told me they used the stock harness from the CX and modified it for the B16A2. They did a very poor job, the harness is all chopped to ****!
Since I have owned it, it has never gone into VTEC, starts kinda hard and idles higher than it should, around 1500. It's throwing 2 codes, ECT sensor and VTEC pressure sensor. I swapped out the ECT with the one from my 97 ex and the idle did not change. So I came to a conclusion that it very well could be the **** harness that is on the engine.
Anyway, what I was thinking about doing was taking a harness from a 96-97 Del Sol VTEC. But I wasnt sure if It was OBD2A or OBD2B. If it is OBD2A then every thing should just plug right up, correct?
Or, I know I can get a harness from a 96-98 EX and all I have to do is extend some wires. But I would rather not cut into the harness, so the Del Sol VTEC would be ideal if it is indeed OBD2A .
Basically, I would like to know if the Del Sol VTEC harness is OBD2A or OBD2B.
Any other insight would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Just
