the car will be fine... just use good common sense while driving. For the time being, just throw on a good set of pads. You can do the gsr setup later down the road.

when u get the money get the 99-2000 si the rear is a little bigger than the gsr. or get them from a ex the same as gsr.

I wouldnt even waste money changing a set of pads. Just stay with what you got until you upgrade. in the meantime just dont drive too aggressively. When I swapped to an ls in my 92 si I changed to gsr brakes in a week. way better then stopping then my stock brakes with axis metal master pads. This was on gsr brakes with stock pads and rotors. gsr brakes on civic

The SI rears are the same as the GSR rears.
The EX has rear drums.
The EX/SI fronts are the same.
The GSR fronts have the same rotors, but slightly larger calipers.
Also, I'm a big believer in good brakes. New AEM pads are like $40-$45. I'm sure that you will probably drive a little faster/harder with the new swap. If you aren't getting the GSR brakes REAL REAL soon, go ahead and get some good pads. Better safe than sorry.
