motor swap problems for a 96 civic dx to ex
I have a 96 civic dx which i changed engine and put a ex engine (D16y8) , wire harness, and computer . Since the switch i now have check engine light on for secondary 02 sensor . There is no wire that goes to this so i can find ???? Was told it is a different setup ??? Also was told i have to change my interior dash harness because it runs off of this on a ex ?? Can this just be straight wired to the computer ???? Any help is appreaciated for my inspection is up for like 4 months already and this is the reason ,really need to get inspected been very lucky so far ..

Im wondering if you could use your dx harness and then add the wires for vtec. I think your DX harness has the wiring for both 02 sensors in the harness where the ex harness has a seperate harness that runs out the body of the car near the shift linkage. You may be able to use your DX harness, extend the secondary 02 sensor wires and re-route them so it will plug in, and add the vtec wires.
Im not sure if this will work so bump for and answer.
