Default mini-me swap, obd2a to obd1 help

Sup all, to start this off, I got a d16y7 block with a d16z6 head. D16y8 intake manifold.

Right now I have the y7 throttle body on because if the 3 wire iacv.

I cut the two wires from the 3 wire (left the orange alone) iacv plug and connected them to the iacv valve behind the manifold and changed the throttle body to a d16z6. I have the jumper harness from obd2a to obd1. Problem is when i try to run the p28 my car bogs out. I've used different ecu's, checked the sensors, tried using the y7 tb and blocked off the iacv valve on it and nothing works.

My car runs perfect with the y7 tb and the p2e ecu but when I try to go obd1, my car runs like crap. Any ideas why?

Thx for help all. Think I found out what was wrong. My v-tec isn't hooked up so maybe that's why my car runs retarded. Will hook it up soon and try the conversion again.

VTEC not being hooked up would't make you car run like ****, VTEC just wouldn't work and you would have a check engine light.

Hmmm.I believe that's correct for a obd2 motor.but if the motor is obd1 and your putting it in an obd2 car I think you gotta change em.so you might be ok.keep us updated.

I would be willing to bet your problem is with your mechanical timing. It's probably off by a few teeth.

Na it wasn't the timing. The car ran perfectly with the y7 throttle body.

I FOUND THE PROBLEM. it runs the p28 like **** with a virgin ecu. I ran my friends p28 that he has tuned to his lsv all motor and my car was BEAST. So now I'm gathering money to get my **** tuned and have it beast mode. Gonna chip it with Chrome.
