manual p28 w/ auto harness?
i've had my d16z6 converted to manual for about 8 months now, and for some odd reason my ecu dies on me while on a road trip. when i get it home and do some troubleshooting i've narrowed it down to replacing the ecu. ecu LOOKS to be in good condition, no fried/burnt components yet its dead
i'm considering replacing the ecu but i have the automatic engine harness still
should i stay automatic ecu then convert it to manual?
or can i swap in a manual ecu with the auto harness and not have any problems?

Re: manual p28 w/ auto harness?
I swapped a manual p28 into my del sol after doing a b16 swap and I have not had a problem with it. I kind of ghetto rigged it in the sense that the car is jumped in neutral, so instead of tearing out and replacing the wire harness, I use the auto one and the car just thinks it's in neutral so it runs fine as a manual.

reverse wires work as well? i know that the reverse wire switch can plug directly into the solenoid lockup from the auto harness, is that what you did? thanks alot for the reply too!
