Lurching when letting gas off. :UPDATED:
I was driving today and did a little bit of spirited driving. Now everytime i let go of the gas or when i apply gas the car lurches until a certain point. I recently did a manual tranny swap and a couple days ago I broke a bolt on my VC. Dont know if that has anything to do with it.
I also have a varying idle that goes between 1k to 2k rpm. Its on a 2000 honda civic. I'M also throwing a code but havent checked it yet.
Spark notes:
- Get semi severe lurching when add/let go of gas
- Have check engine light
- Broke a valve cover bolt (dont know if it matters)

I think VC is valve cover. However it does sound like a vacuum leak if you're experiencing all that, but if you have a check engine light, run the codes and see what it says.

I really don't want to sound like an *** or insult you or anything, but what gear does this happen in and around what speeds? What I'm asking is, are you still learning to drive a stick? You said you just did a manual tranny swap a few days ago is why I ask, sorry if I'm completely off base.

ill check the codes tomorrow.
as for driving a stick im fairly decent. i did the swap about a month ago and this just started to happen.
ill check the mounts also.
this was caused due to a miss shift into second by my brother.
it does it in all gears at all speeds.

Re: (DrewMD)
UPDATE: these are the code numbers i am getting:
#14: Idle air control valve
#71: Random Misfire Cylinder #1
#72: Random Misfire Cylinder #2
#73: Random Misfire Cylinder #3
#74: Random Misfire Cylinder #4
all this can be caused from a misshift? Did I bend a few valves?
