Sounds more like you have an ignition or fuel problem, the problems I have seen with iacv valves is a weird idle, or sometimes the car would just die out once it warmed up to operation temps.

wat do u mean adjust the tps? my car starts and then sumtimes dies after im driving it for a while like when i pull up to a stop light, or coast for a while in nuetral.........i just figured it was the iacv because it has a really low idle like 200 at start up and it jerks when i go to take off or even when im in like 4rth gear at really low rpm idk

Mine has been doing the same thing (dying @ a light) but it would jerk when I would let off the throttle~I finally just forked over the $$$ and bought a new iacv (wasn't cheap) and it didn't do it for like a week b4 it happened a again. I took it back to the shop and they just adjusted my idle and it stop but I've only had it back for a few days so ill keep u posted

Re: IACV symptoms? mine jerks when i give it gas at low RPM (jers99)
i got the same problem on my 00 hatch....i scanned it and it said it was a circuit problem meaning that it was probably something to do with the wiring and not the IACV itself....if it's the same thing thats happening to me as whats happening to yours its like it idle surges a little bit and if you rev it up and hold it at about 1800 (rpm might be different for you) it sounds like it has a 2 step rev limiter but above or below 1800 it's fine. im going to try to do something with mine but i'll keep you posted on what happens.

check that iac valve. had some problem on GSR...mine just wasbt plugged up... tried a TPS wasnt that...rtried MAP sensor..wwasnt that...mine would idle at like 200rpms. and then at 1500rpms jerk liek hell, made it hard to drive from a stop...engine would jerk like hell with the 6puck clutch...check into that valve like u doing. make sure it isnt broken, thats exactly the pproblem i bet.

did you try cleaning the connector and using dielectric grease before you shelled out that money?
I had the same problem a few years ago - did the above, no issues since

Of course it did. Measure the voltage on the TPS with engine off, throttle closed. I think you will find you are WAY off. Should be .45-.50 volts.

Pick up a multimeter and find the problem.
