Would it pretty good?? WTF?

Many say LS tranny is good for boost, but there's not factory LSD like with the C5 tranny.

Try rephrasing your question, because right now it sucks.

How about we start be asking what your goals are?

LS tranny sucks for anything but fuel consumption

LOL these two were no help...try doing some research on it. Your botton motor is a perfect setup BUT remember to rebuild your head too, your stock head probably wont be able to handle it long! ...gotta get new valves and retainers, cam shaft and new studs. Dont forget a 2nd stage clutch or 3rd (if you are extreme). Rebuilding everything costs alot and not mention dont waste you time rebuilding your motor if you aren't going to rebuild EVERYTHING! Stock is fine but if you are boosting remember you are wearing things out fast because of the power you are going to produce (meaning leaving somethings stock)! How much do you want to boost? How fast do you want your car? You gotta ask yourself that first b4 thinking about doing rebuilds so you can get an idea of want you really want your setup to be. Remeber a turbo'ed car is nothing without Tunning!! Just my 2 Cents

heres my cuzzies setup

b18 motor
rebuilt bottom to top!!!!!
afc-2
3rd stage act clutch
12 lbs flywheel
AEM cams
New motor mounts (not sure of brand name but REALLY expensive)
Type R tranny w/ OEM Type R shifter
and a FULL Turbo kit, upgraded T28 (i think) ball bearing turbo.
at minumum boost (8 Psi) 310 hp to the WHEELS
20 psi 391+ Hp to the WHEELS!
not to mention hours SPENT on TUNNING the damn thing!

"lol" You dont know what their goals are so you cant say what they'll need

Stock head can handle boost fine.
Different camshafts arent necessary.
Just because you build it, doesnt mean its going to last any longer than stock - its all in the tuning.

LOL, did you read my post. I did say, you should ask yourself how fast you want it! DUH!! or don't you read at all? anyway, it all depends and what you want for your car and you! i put it i bold on top, so read it and weep it ****! atleast i gave him an idea of what he'll will actually need and not just blow him off.

lol my cousins friend had a civic rebuilt bottom and left the top all stock. Guess how long his motor lasted? not long. 16,543 miles to be exact! Same set up as this guy, t3/t4 turbo kit with the bottom rebuilt only. And not to mention hours spent on tuning the piece of crap with AFC-II. AS i said before if you leave the head unbuilt you will pay the price for it!

take "PPimp My Ride" for example, exterior is FLAWLESS but whats left undone?...the motor.

Actually...all you did was say, "You have to build it with this, that, and this" and then repeated the same thing I did.

Now that this thread has been hijacked, I'll continue with it.

*****est_raver you listed your "cuzzie's" setup. AFC-II huh? You mentioned that <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by *****est_raver &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote"> Remeber a turbo'ed car is nothing without Tunning!! </TD></TR></TABLE>

yet how versatile is a AFC-II when it comes to tuning a turbo car? You didn't mention any other tuning such as Uberdata, AEM EMS, Hondata, rather an AFC-II.

I agree with pdiggitydogg though...

A stock head can handle boost
Different camshafts are not necessary
