LS Swap questions for 92-95 civic hb
i have a 93 civic hb...iam throwing out the d15..and going with the Ls swap...what yr iam i looking for? i figured..anything between 94-97?...also whats the best way to get the most performance out of the ls swap? Gsr head?....all help would help me out...also i have been told it will take about 1000-1250 t0 have the ls rebuilt..and port n polished.Gimme all the idea`s ya got.

You will want a 94-95 ls swap, since those are OBDI just like your car, and they have the hydro tranny, so no special hydro->cable mounts needed.
Best way to get max performance out of the LS, is to do headwork, and then turbo it. Its a prime candidate for good HP numbers because of its lower CR numbers.
I say that because I am not a fan of LS/Vtec, if the engine didnt come with a vtec head, then dont put it on there.
My opinion, get the head worked on, and boost the **** out of it.

head work as in..port n polish? what else can be done to it? and why is it no one else keeps the ls head they chunk it for a gsr head or c5 head?

Yeah port and polish, maybe some new valves and valvesprings. People go with the gsr, b16 or C5 head because they want the high end power, which can easily be cured by a turbo kit.
