Default LS headwork suggestions?

just looking to upgrade the LS head before i get my drag kit. Is the normal basically PnP and some cams (crower)? For those with experience, how much would a PnP job normally cost? Since i'm gonna have the LS with basic bolt ons for a little while longer, i'm tryin to decide on have a local shop do head work, or just use the golden eagle LS/vtec conversion kit and go ls/vtec for the better flowing head. Not looking to be a high revving monster, just wanting to prepare for for boost and preventing the high rpm power dropoff.

To be honest w/you I feel your better off w/the LS/Vtec set up then getting your ls head ported.I'd rather have a stock b16 or GSR head on top of a motor then spending around 800 or more $ for a ported ls head.

i'm thinking that way too, obviously cost a little more for the ls/vtec but i'm thinking it would be better than messing with the ls head, anyone else with experience? Looking especially for those who have worked the LS head??!!
