just get the one from your engine, since its only used for vtec, if you have a d series, get the one from the d16y8,

Assuming you have a B-series motor, I'd go with the GSR or ITR LMA's (larger surface). My buddy just sawpped out his second set of B16 LMA's that crapped out again. Or if you're on a budget, do the H22 LMA's with the washer trick.

ok, when it comes to LMA's, i dont have much experience, so what exactly are the symtoms of it failing? and does your engine require them?

i have mixed and matched all three different part numbers into different engines and it doesn't seem to make any difference. the way to check them is to pull your valve cover and push down on the vtec cam follower (the middle one) in between each cylinders pair of valves. if it sticks down AT ALL or even if you think it may have it is probably bad. one thing i can tell you is that i have yet to find a bad set in a gsr so i always just get gsr ones for any motor i replace them in. i dont think that they actually get gummed up with crap or anything like that because i have never had any success cleaning them. I think they actually start to gall inside on the walls the plunger rides on. so basically cleaning them does no good.
