looking for 400hp civic axles?
i've been looking all over the internet for some axles for my eg. i am building a 400 hp honda civic (d series). does anyone know where i can get axles that will support this much power? i know the stock wouldn't handle this much power. i've encountered a few brands but they were outrageous expensive. i want some with an affordable price.

If she won't see slicks, don't worry about it. You won't have enough traction to break an axle. If you plan on being a dragstrip ***** w/ slicks, prepare to fork out the money.

i didnt think 400hp and D series went together... i know they make axels for Bs with big power but i've never seen them for Ds ... and i thought i was nuts trying to do 200 all motor hp in a D needless to say im still trying to find ALL the peices... and a couple spare blocks

Stock Z6 head flows enough to hit 400 whp by ~30 psi, which is approx extent of not only a 3 bar MAP, but most conventional performance turbo's flow maps.
D-series are normally knock limited at ~350 whp. To do 400 safely would require racegas, or water injection.
There are how-to's in the FI forum about hitting ~330 whp on a stock bottom end D-series. They don't claim it'll last long (usually headgasket) but plenty of people have done it.
200 whp NA D? Are you using an A6 head?

Ive making around 400hp on my d-series and i havent broken an axle yet. Im running stock axles and havent had any problems what-so-ever. You break the wheels loose (even in 3rd and 4th) way before you will ever break an axle on street tires. Even with good tires, i run sticky yokos, zero problems.
On race slicks - thats another thing.
If you wanna run big slicks, id look into Gator axles. Give stan a call at fast-turbo (he posted above me), he is who id buy them from whenever i get around to buying some.
