Default ??Legit Engines.....

I guess I was searching around and was curious about emmissions and what not for JDM engines... I live in CA. by the way...so my question is what do i need to change and roughly how much does it cost to make a jdm engine BAR ready??? Im thinking about swapping in a b18c or b18c5 if someone could help me with out with a rough estimate on price for the parts to make everything legit that would be awesome....

THANKS!!!!!!!!

its not as bad as you think. just make sure all the vaccum lines are up to US spec, and have a US intake/exhaust manifold, and US spec ECU. and i think thats about it. there is a huge thread on this, search for it

Yeah, it's easier if you get the same year motor as your car but even if you get a newer year, it'll still pass. It's not 100% guaranteed, but most likely you'll pass state ref. Just as long as you dont get an older year motor than your car and the motor isnt JDM, then chances are you'll pass.
