BAR question
alright so i know that you cannot bar a JDM engine anymore and that the engine has to be the same year or newer than the chassis its going in. but i want to know if you can BAR hybrid engines. like a B16a2 head on a B18c1 block?

Not as of last year. Only U.S. built engines. Like the GS-R has to say B18C1. And the Type R has to say B18C5. But as far as I know they are only following the block. But the head has to be of the same year or newer. That doesn't have to be U.S. But it does have to have all the U.S. parts.

so does anyone know if you can or cannot bar jdm engines know because im about to buy a new engine for my ef thinking of a zc with 130 hp non vtech but if i can ill go d15b vtech

yes you can bar a jdm engine if it has a usdm counterpart. i.e. jdm b16a is okay. jdm b16b is not okay. also you have to swap over all of the emissions equipment from the donor car. just buy a usdm engine and save yourself alot of headache.
