i have a 00 si with a 94 jdm gsr and a VAFC. I keep thorwing code 23 Knock Sensor. The harness is a brand new 00 si and the gsr has all the obd2 plugs on it. my VAFC is running 20% correction now but i have had it up to 50% correction and it still says knock the sensor is also brand new. any idea?

is it on all the time or only after revving high?
Like, does it come on right after you start the car up or what?

Try backing off the timing, running better fuel, or check and make sure you have it in all the way and it's not broken or anything.
I've actually busted knock sensors in hal;f before...lol

Re: Knock Sensor Code 23 (SikCivic)
could it be the wiring? seems as if its not plug for some reason....you should try double checking the wires( trace the wires from the knock sensor back)... if its all hooked up you'll at least know that the motor is knock and its not a faulty connection... part of a illimination process... hope that helps..

You need insulated wire.
I've got the same problem with my Sir-II swap. It doesnt effect performance or anything, but its just kinda annoying to have that code thrown. I get it after the car is warm and VTEC engages.
I havent found a place in town that sells insulated wire so I havent been able to fix mine yet.
