yeah but if i replace the battery and the LED works then a day later the LED doesn't light up, does that mean the fob is broken..or does it just not light up anymore because its not programmed or something?

It should light up anyway. Try cleaning the contacts? Test the battery?

Thanks for posting this. I used this procedure and it partially worked for me. Now my transmitter will lock the doors, but wil not unlock them. I tried pressing the lock button on the transmiter and then the unlock button, but it doesnt help. FYI the LED on the transmitter lights when either of the buttons are pushed. Does anyone have any ideas??? Thanks
