If you do not get 10 out of 10 "NO are you crazy" replies, the mechanics are laughing too hard to type the answer.
On the other hand are you selling the car or buying, if selling disclose this picture with the buyer and watch him run. Buy that piston and take it to the metal recycle its worth 20 cents.
That piston is likely to crack more fragments. If you are lucky the frags will flow out the exhaust. Playing the Devils advocate the frags are going to do a number on your cylinder walls, piston rings or valve seats; take your pick.
Expensive race parts, I hear you brother. "And but you already know what I was going to say" Keanu Reeves quote in the Matrix.
The chanting "NO, NO, NO" quotation from the coliseums mob in Gladiator.

Re: JE piston chipped.
Get rid of the piston, call JE, order a single replacement. A single piston is a hell of a lot cheaper than the new motor you'll have to buy if you run on that.

Re: JE piston chipped.
this picture is way zoomed in, theres no sratch marks or anything at all.
I think a good hone will do the job and it will get fixed.
There darton dry sleeves i dont wanna go get a new block... haha
i have my block guard welded in too... no epoxy* glue ****.
but yeah looks like i will be ordering some new pistons.. wiesco or cp... je again? what do you guys think?
Personal opions based off what you have used, not what you think are good... so you guys who have had good and bad luck let me know thanks.

Re: JE piston chipped.
Several of my friend's run Arais pistons. 1's on CP, 1 "was" on JE.
after 3 years of boosted abuse the ring lands one gave up.
All are solid choices, just find the one that works best with your goals, and the wallet of course.

Yeow! I wouldn't run that piston and I'm just running a bone stock D15B7 as a daily driver. I agree with the others. Replace the piston and possibly look into honing that cylinder. The wall looks fugly.
