JDM transmission fitment?
I was just searching online and found a 96-2000 JDM HX M4VA
CVT automatic transmission, and wanted to know if that would pnp with y7/y8 mini-me setup, or would there be wiring that would be required.

Eh, it sounds like a base model pretty much, but funky emissions stuff. The wide band O2, EGR valve and that tranny are about the only things. Can't the HX head be converted to regular VTEC? Then change the tranny and you'd have a decent car.

Re: JDM transmission fitment?
see right now i've got the 96 ex auto cpe with a mini-me, and my tranny is on its way out due to the girl who owned the car before me. When I took the car in for a deal oil change he said the girl who sold it to them neutral dropped the car 4 different times in the parking lot because she thought it was a stick. Needless to say, this car was horribly maintained and I'm stuck with the aftermath. The mechanic asked her how many times she had changed the oil in the 4 years she owned the car, and she said," Why would I change it? The oil didn't smell rotten..."

The only thing you could use that tranny in is an HX coupe. The CVT tranny has some unique mount issues if you try to put it in anything else. Wiring is also completely different than a normal automatic. All you can do is get another USDM automatic '96 - '00 tranny (JDM 6th gen automatic trannys are different and use a manual kickdown cable, or ideally swap in a 5 speed.

I did i cvt swap on my d15b because i had time and money to waste and its mine..
cvt parts are different plus the wiring you need
ecu to control the start clutch
wireloom because a cvt use 4 speed sensors, start clutch wiring and control
right bracket and mount
rear bracket
flex plate
cvt flywheel some people call it a torque converter
starter

Thanks GT,
Let me post what DSAINT from HSEngineeringing was offering me.
Hence I decided to go with this option instead, but I'm waiting on pay day to get his parts and go shop for mounts and brackets.
Will this mean that I'll have to be driving around with 2 ECUs or do I still have lots of splicing to do?

Superior sells the CVT Transmission for 45k..* my price 35k
Superior sells the start for 6.5k.. my price 4k
Superior sells the computer for 6.5k.. my price 4k
Superior has no flex plate and torque converter.. my price.. free with transmission.
Superior has tranny mount for 3.5k..* my is already sold.
Superior doesn't have the CVT switch for steering wheel.. my price.. 2k
Total Bundled Price for (Transmission, Flex Plate, Flywheel with converter, Starter, Computer and Switch) 45k.

Re: JDM transmission fitment?
I know that you understand the physical reasons why my 2001 EU1 can't accommodate a clutch pedal and the the lack of EP3 shifters and linkages being made available in our local market.
Three weeks ago, I witnessed an EK3 equipped with CVT running away from a K20 DC5 Integra on the toll-road one night. It was an experience that made me realize that it isn't all about peak horse power, but how much of it that you can actually use throughout the entire RPM range.
