ITR vs. CTR
I am talking about cams! I can find itr cams used for 300, if I act now. Or i can wait and buy the set of ctr cams for 500. What should I do? and why? Is the ctr cam worth paying more for? Or should I stick with getting itr cams.

I did a search and found this https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=129579 I hope that helps
The CTR Intake Cam opens at 18 degrees before TDC VS. the ITR at 15 before TDC, the CTR has 243 VS. the ITR's 240 of duration. On paper the CTR Cam seems to be a happy in between of the ITR Intake Cam and the Skunk2 Intake Cam. I guess you could see for you self I'm going to soon
Both R's have the same exhaust cam.

CTR Intake cam is better.
However, don't waste your money if you find a CTR exhaust cam and an ITR exhaust cam that is cheaper.
They have the same part number.

with CTR cams, should you really spend the extra money for higher RPMs? my Si reves to 8200, 400rpm short of a ctr. however, seeing the power curve, the CTR cams reaches its peak at 8200 then declines slightly after that. so is it worth is to spend:
ITR valvetrain $300
CTR ECU $450
Mugen head gasket $120 (might as well, since u gota take off the head for valvetrain)
Labor $500
thats an additional $1370 just for higher rev limit! is there extra HP?? what do you think?

ok sorry. i was ambiguous. let me rephrase my question. what benefits will i gain by raising the rev limit? considering that CTR cams reaches its peak at 8200 then declines as it hits the 8600 rev limit. whats the point of raising it if you've already reached the peak of the power curve?
