ctr and itr cams?

Default ctr and itr cams?

Can someone explain why to use a ctr intake cam and an itr exhaust cam?..........Starting a rebuild.......

ctr intake cam is slightly better than the itr intake cam, but the exhaust cams are the same.

better as in i think the lift/duration is a little more...therefore taking in more air.

CTR Intake cam has 3 degrees more duration.
CTR and ITR exhaust cam are the same.

B18C does not benefit from CTR cams as much as a b16 engine does

Yup, 1fastGSR is right, there is a noticable difference if used in a b16a, because of the better rod ratio, it dwells longer at TDC taking advantage of the 3 degrees extra duration.

not worth the extra money to get a CTR cam....unless u can get it for the same price as an ITR cam then get it...

ITR

INTAKE lift - 11.5 mm, duration - 240 @ 1mm
EXHAUST lift - 10.5 mm, duration - 235 @ 1mm

CTR

INTAKE lift - 11.5mm, duration - 243 @ 1mm
EXHAUST lift - 10.5 mm, duration - 235 @ 1mm
