Default INtake manifold any truth to this guys claim?

I need to get a manifold to port out. I found this on Ebay and I do like the design. Seems you would get a much more even flow to all the chambers.

So the big question is...

Is it really that much better and most important will it git my 93 SOHC motor?

yes it will fit just ask the seller if it is off of a manual or auto, because then theres a differnece. Also you wont notice HUGE gains but it will help out

Thanks.

Well for the price it should be good. I plan to attack it with the dremel whatever manifold I get. But starting with what is supposed to be a superior desing is always a good thing.

Hey since your in jersey you know any places that can tune the car for a good price once I am done with the manifold, downpipe, and exhaust. Don't think I will change the turbo right now.

That manifold in the pic is from a manual car. To tell if its automatic, there will be a vaccum port sticking up where the manifold attaches to the head between the second and third cylinder port.

if you can get a y8 cheap, its good for some gains. If you have the money, get the sk2 IM. I upgraded to y8 mani then to sk2 and there was def. a noticable gain.

Thanks for the help guys.

I plan to port it myself so no reason to buy something someone else ported. Now I just have to win one of these auctions!!!

Still I haven't got a throtle body so I have to get one of those also.

porting is more than just cutting the hole bigger. there is a science to it. you might gain some flow by going at it with a dremel but not as much as getting it professionally ported
