Ignition Timing
Hey, I swapped my D15b Vtec about 4 months ago and never got around to adjusting the timing. I know its off because I have gotten a few "pings". I am going tomorrow to have a auto shop adjust the timing because I do not have a gun to check it.
Can someone just briefly explain the process of how this is done? Also, I can feel like i'm not getting a lot of power in 1st gear. Do you think this timing will help? Thanks
Ryan

Re: Ignition Timing (Fighterinsnatch)
ignition timing... hmm simple and sweet... take the gun stick to the number one spark plug wire.. start the car... now there a notch on the crank pully and a mark on the timing belt cover... when number on cylinder hits its igntion time those two marks ( the one on the crank and the one on the cover) should line up... if the dont they just loosen the dizzy up enough to where it can be turned by hand and while the cars running they turn it til its in time... tighten the dizzy back down and bam... ur in time!! fun fun! short and sweet haha
