Default iacv?

My idling is to low below 500. I adjust the screw, but wouldn't help. Can it be my iacv? Instead of buying another iacv can i just take the iacv out from my manifold
and clean it? It's a 97 civic ex.

yes you can take your IACV off and clean it with carb cleaner to see if that is the problem.

Did you unplug your IACV when you adjusted the idle screw? This is necessary so the IACV doesn't correct for what you're doing.

Its on the backside of the IM. I has 2 bolts holding it in place, along w/ one or two hoses i believe? Someone correct me if im wrong. Pull the screen out, and spray carb cleaner on it...make sure to not get any on your TPS or you're fucked.

on the dx model the iacv is on the throttle body not on the IM. The ex IM have the IACV on the back sometimes, depending on the transmission I believe. The dx IM only has runners and the TB points up.
