i smell clutch

i smell clutch
when i back out of my driveway, or pedal the clutch/gas for at least 3 sec. i smell my clutch bad. But i can race the car repeatedly, or drive normal all day and never smell it. Its an itr 97 lsd tranny, clutchdisk and pressure plate, and 7.5 fidanza it never slips still barks third hard. any ideas homies?

could it be that i used 6 pressure plate bolts istead of 9. Jim from motorvations said just use 6. I dont know i know its gonna burn up a good clutch. What u guys think? help your boy out.

The thing is, it does not make sense that it only does it in reverse. It spins the same way regardless, therefore shouldn't make a difference if you are in 1-5 or reverse.
Consider this, I know this sounds odd, but are you sure what you are smelling is your clutch?
Edit: Also, are you making sure your foot is entirely off the pedal when you are reversing? You may be inadvertently slipping your clutch and not realizing it.
