i know this has been covered many times but...
i searched and searched and searched for 50 minutes now...d16y8 into eg, d16y8 swap, d16z6 blah blah blah and i wanted to know if i could just throw a y8 bottom end into an eg and use a d16z6 head on top of that. would i need a y8 head gasket? would the timing be off? and if any wires need to be rewired. oh yeah and use what kind of timing belt.

i believe the head gasket for the z6 and y8 are the same thickness (0.037 in) and correct me if im wrong but i also believe you use the z6 timing belt.
