i just took my clutch out to change it out cuz car wouldnt go into gear, when i looked at the clutch it had no splines in the middle! the teeth were all grinded dwn it was smooth in the middle! iam boosted is it beacuse of the amount of hp? it was a 4puck sprung clutch, what causedf this any info will help thanx

how much hp are you making?

also is it one of those problems that you did something and then your problem came about or was this always in issue for you but got worse.

and what car and motor you running with which turbo and at what psi. more info would help.

its a gsr on boost semi built ian a eg hatch! about 15 pounds of boost big t4 turbo with a 60 trim!

Slow down kid. Geeze, you act like it's getting worse as we speak.

You probably don't need that aggressive of a clutch. Just hit an Ebay dealer up for a middle of the road clutch and a lightened flywheel if yours is all expletived up.

Maybe it being worn out is part of why it wouldn't go into gear.

MAYBE your tranny being fucked up would involve your clutch/flywheel

lol dude. thats wat happens when a clutch is old.
i just replaced mine and yes it was one smooth clutch. no raises at all. it was worn out. and i new it was done because. when i woudls hift. and then accelerate. my car would rev fast and accelerate slow. i knew it was wrong. just replace your clutch. get like a stg2 exedy. and go. its normal if u run yu clutch down to the bare end.

i think he is talkin about the teeth in the middle of the clutch/ splines for the input shat part of the clutch. but other than that i dont kno how or why. hes not talkin about the friction material on the pucks.

I'm an idiot. Why does it matter?

WHen you change your clutch, go ahead and replace your pilot bearing, Throwout bearing, and flywheel. It's too easy not too while the tranny is off your car.

Be careful who you call an Idiot.

He is talking about the splines where the tranny input shafts mates to...those splines on the center of the clutch disc. I highly doubt that a bad throwout bearing would strip the splines on the clutch.

Now back to the question, your answer is "**** happens".

Sometimes even a respectable clutch manufacturer will have bad parts and just so happens it's you this time. This happened to a friend of mine and it was an ACT but it could happen to anyone.

If you did not have this clutch in your car for too long you might contact the company where you got it from and see if they will replace it for you.

Also check the input shaft for damages.

mabye a flywheel bolt came lose and tore it up....lol it hapened to me.
