How do I tell if my civic has US or California emissions?
as the title say, where can I locate what type of emissions my car has. I have a 97 Honda civic HX
I do not have the factory manual that came with the vehicle.

If it says:
USEPA and or California emissions for the year.... It's California certified
If there is no mention of California then it is a federal car. However,read it carefully it might
say not for sale in California. Then it would be federal also.

Your emissions label should be on the underside of the hood. There will be a paragraph that says "this vehicle conforms to....blah blah!
If it says:
USEPA and or California emissions for the year.... It's California certified
If there is no mention of California then it is a federal car. However,read it carefully it might
say not for sale in California. Then it would be federal also.
