How do i adjust the clutch peddle. Searched and archived
My sister has a 94 hatch DX. she had a new master cylinder put in and ever since the release/engage point is at the highest spot it can possably be. Its a real pain in the ***. Any way its not the clutch itsself seperating, i dont think. I no the clutch itself isnt adjustable, but i no the peddle is cuz when i got a new clutch the mech set it realy high and i dont like that. He got a socket wrech, turned a nut or bolt and the ingage/release points were lower. A picture would be awesome.
The question is how do i adjust it?

Adding fluid and bleeding the clutch would adjust that, given that there are airbubbles in the line. If there are, it would cause you to feel as if the clutch catches at the 'very top' or highest point as you put it. Doing that would make it feel a little better. Worked wonders for me
If that doesnt help, then the clutch has no meat left on it, lol, and will neen to be replaced. OEM clutchs are about 100$

i want to know what nut or bolt to turn. The clutch is fine its only got 65k on it if that. She doesnt go out racin the thing or dropping the clutch. She drives normal.
Could be air bubbles, i'll have to see if and how they bled it

crawl under the dash and find the clutch pedal. Follow the pedal linkage to the firewall. You should be touching a rod. No, get your hand out of your pants.
The rod that goes thru the firewall has an adjustment screw on it. You will need a 12mm wrench and some pliers. You will also need a gentle touch. back off the nut a little bit and turn the rod itself back and forth GENTLY using the pliers (you dont wanna really nick it as you will cut up the rubber seal that the rod goes into). I say back and forth because you have to figure out which direction makes the pedal feel better.

yea i adjusted mine
it sucks cuz its hard to get it centered, i fucked mine up from being release point being too low, to it being too high. jus pay 10 bux and get it done by a shop lol

lmao, i can doo all my engine work and everything, but i cant do **** when it comes to suspension and interior and that lil ****. :-/ eh its okay lol, im no vin diesel ;-)

your clutch will be similar as these pictures, only difference is i took my red nut(further away from firewall) off and put it closer to the firewall instead of the other side of the bracket so i can get a shorter clutch. it may be confusing if you are not looking at my picture and seeing the difference under your dash.
for short clutch:
loosen both red nuts
turn blue rod(closest to firewall) until clutch pedal starts to drop closer to floor
tighten red nut closest to firewall
push clutch pedal gently and feel when the clutch starts to engae/disengage; adjust the spacer/stopper bolt so it will slightly touch the clutch pedal(MAKE SURE NOT TO HAVE THE BOLT PUSHING ON THE CLUTCH PEDAL, THIS WILL CAUSE SLIPPAGE)
*note* the stock bolt will only allow a limit distance. use a longer bolt if you want a even shorter bolt than the stock bolt but doing this may cause you not to get in gears.
for longer clutch:
loosen both red nuts
turn blue rod until clutch starts to raise higher away from firewall(its best to have the clutch pedal same distance with your brake pedal...just my opninion)
adjust spacer/stopper bolt until it slightly touch the clutch pedal.(MAKE SURE NOT TO HAVE THE BOLT PUSHING ON THE CLUTCH PEDAL, THIS WILL CAUSE SLIPPAGE)

thats all im willing to do cuz if i break it its cheap to replace. if i mess up one little thing on the motor, your gonna be in a world of hurt and mess up other components as well
