how to clean fuel lvl unit?
-is there a way to clean the fuel tank reader(dont know what its called), when im at a half a tank i get fuel cut out if i get on it, then i go fill up and its takes almost a full tank 6 gallons, so i mean my fuel lvl gauge has to be messed up or dirty...
-if it has to be replaced any ideas on how much it would cost to replace?

There is no way to "clean" it. The device you're talking about is a float in the gas tank that's attached to the fuel pump, not to mention it sits in gasoline so that's not exactly a way for it to get "dirty". I am not for sure if the float is an integrated piece with the fuel pump on Hondas or not. Some vehicles you can get the fuel level sending setup seperate and on some you have to completely replace the fuel pump to fix your problem. To fix your problem will require dropping the gas tank, which without a hoist is a pain in the ***.

If you live somewhere where you see snow and colder temperatures it's hard on the fuel pump to start the vehicle when it's really low on fuel. You're right, you won't run out of gas because you'll still get the gas light to come on, but like I said, it's a good idea to keep a 1/4 tank or more in the vehicle when it gets cold outside.
