Re: Hondata? (DragIIcivic)
Drag: you're goin' all out on this new engine huh? New clutch and now Hondata....which Hondata will you be getting StageIII or II? I hear there's not much diiference between the two except for a rev-limiter and a couple other things on the StageIII.

I'm getting the 2b w/ the burnable rom thingie
if you know someone w/ the 4b, then you will only need the 2b, unless you want data logging, and the 2stage rev limiter.

Re: Hondata? (mano77)
Look what happens when I am busy!
I got a hondata stage 3 system running a b16a2 in my hx. Reprogrammed P28 with P30(DOHC VTEC del sol) program.
It seems to work pretty good. The full throttle shift with the stage 3 is real nice, and so is the launch limiter. The only problem I seem to be having is my check engine light seems to come on every time I drive my car after it had time to completly cool off. If I shut down my car, and turn it back on while warm the light is gone and dosen't come back.
Anyone know if that is how OBD1 works? I would think once a code is logged in memory, the light would stay on. I tripped my ecu to get the code but all I got was one very fast blink. So I don't know what is up with that.
If you want to seriously drag, get the stage 3, otherwise save alot and get the stage 2.
Drag Good to see you are better. I have been reading posts, but I haven't had time to post.
Do you have the monster installed yet???

Re: Hondata? (mano77)
Hey mano! I have a B16A2 with the stage 4 Hondata system. I installed the 4b in hopes of FI and to have the equip we need to tune the Hondata systems. You can check us out at podiumperformance.com or feel free to email me with any ?'s you have. I have a dyno tuned program for the B16A that works excellent!!!

Re: Hondata? (HPilot)
I'll be going with Hondata Stage 4 on a LS/Turbo. I'm getting the stage 4 because I hope to eventually use a Racelogic EPROM emulator, which will let me change the ECU maps in real time with a notebook computer while the car is running. Basically, it becomes a computer-controlled standalone system.
